Golf Course Sold
Curt Radle and Sharlene Dock are the proud new owners of the Durand Rolling Greens Golf Course. The transition was completed on February 8, 2008, and they have been busy updating the clubhouse since.
Acquiring the golf course has allowed Curt and Sharlene to return home and pursue a life-long dream of owning and operating a golf course. Prior to returning to the Durand area, Curt and Sharlene last resided in Oahu, Hawaii, where Curt was employed by Ko'olau Golf Course and Sharlene was employed at Aloha Stadium.
In terms of the operations, no significant changes are planned for 2008. The driving range will continue to be open to the public. A bar menu will also continue to be available with a special order menu for league nights and other planned events. The clubhouse is available for booking special events, with catering provided by Mary Weiss.
Curt and Sharlene welcome you to come up to the course and enjoy the challenging greens and clubhouse camaraderie. If you haven’t golfed before or would like to improve your game, contact the course to check into lesson availability at 715-672-8139. Course information and events will also be available on the web at www.rggolfcourse.com. |

The first Public Information meeting was held Wednesday, February 27th. At the first meeting the City shared the preliminary plan for the Riverfront. A second meeting will be held near the end of March or beginning of April. DNR and Army Corp regulatory officials are invited to attend to discuss aspects of the project that will require either State of Federal permits. Please visit our web page for updates on the project and meeting dates at www.cityofdurand.com. The planned implementation of Phase 1 of the Riverfront is as follows: City approval in the Spring of 2008, final design and approvals in the Summer/Fall of 2008 and construction in the Spring of 2009.
